Who answers for this service

PlainQuill is operated by MaximizeMy.Business LLC. That company is the party you contract with, and it answers for everything on this page.

How to reach us

Write to hello@plainquill.com. It is a mailbox rather than a form, and it is the address for questions before you sign up, for anything about your data or the terms, and for a refund request, sent from your account address. The company is named on the terms and the privacy policy.[1]

News and updates are also posted on Facebook and Bluesky.

What we answer for

  • What goes live. Nothing publishes without an approval of that exact version, given by you, a teammate you invite, or an assistant you have authorised to approve for you. The check is made when the piece is published, against the exact bytes, and a piece that fails it is held rather than sent.
  • What the writing claims. The factual claims we write are traced to sources fetched at the time of writing, checked by software and then by a second model that did not write them. A claim that cannot be traced is removed, or the piece is held and the reason is shown to you.[2]
  • What you pay. Flat prices, stated in full before checkout, with the optional extras priced beside them.[3] Ask within 7 days of a payment and you get all of it back while fewer than 7 articles have been generated since that payment. From 7 on, you get back the part that covers the articles not yet generated.
  • What we do not promise. A search ranking or a traffic figure. Nobody controls those, and we report measurements rather than predictions.

Where it came from

PlainQuill was built by a long-time web developer and systems and AI engineer, for himself and his business partner, also an engineer. The pipeline ran for more than a year on their own sites before it was a service, and its checks were added one at a time, each after something slipped through.

Claude was not the first to suggest turning it into a product, but it was the catalyst. Asked about the alternatives, the AI assistant laid out the tools already on the market, and they did not impress: plenty of them generate articles, and few check them against sources before a business’s name goes on them.[4] So the tool was opened up, made easy to use without being an engineer.

Its builders are also its first customers. They will admit the bias, but PlainQuill took them from struggling to keep up with every part of a single project to building and growing several projects at once, consistently, almost on autopilot.

Opening it to the public brought a far wider range of needs, and that keeps the work constant: making sure each client gets not just content, but the best content for their business. It is not a big company, and it cares about service and quality. A thin layer over a language model would have been easier to sell. We sleep better at night knowing that every membership is answered with our best work. Thank you for yours.

A connector for Claude is available now, and one for ChatGPT is coming soon. Write to hello@plainquill.com and you reach the people who build it.
